The vision to start Chapel of Transfiguration was given to Pastor Femi Ogunsanya on Wednesday 6th March 1996 on his way to Zaria from Ibadan during his National Youth service.i.
Pastor Femi Ogunsanya who graduated from Federal University of Technology Owerri in 1995 did his National Youth service with Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES). It was during the service with NIFES that he received the calling to start the church..
Our Father's House
Our New Cathedral was however dedicated on Sunday, 1st March, 2008.The Cathedral which was named MY FATHER’S HOUSE was built and completed without taking any loan from the bank or any financial institution.

.After his Youth service, November 1996, Pastor Femi came to Lagos and identified with Bible Believers’ Church Ministry (BBCM), the church he
.was attending before he went for his Youth service. January 2nd 1997, Pastor Femi was employed as assistance Banking Officer at Guaranty
.Trust Bank (Now GTBank PLC). As a confirmation of God’s calling in his life, he was ordained a Pastor at BBCM in April 1997.
.Pastor Femi Ogunsanya who got married to his covenant and ministry partner, Pastor Olajumoke on the 13th December,1997 left BBCM with
.his family after 5years as led of God to start Chapel of Transfiguration (C.O.T) On the 10th February 2002. C.O.T was inaugurated at Destiny
.Hall, University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi Araba, Surulere, Lagos.
.The church which started with three adults and three children has grown over the years. And we have touched lives of many people with
.glorious gospel of Jesus Christ, reaching out to many through health outreach, donations to hospitals, schools and less privileged in the society.
.On the 3rd February,2006 Chapel of Transfiguration was incorporated.
.After worshiping God in a rented hall for 5years at Surulere, God told us to relocate to Ikorodu. Sunday 15th April 2007, we moved from Surulere

.March, 2011, the General Overseer of Chapel of Transfiguration, Pastor Femi Ogunsanya resigned from Spring Bank (Now Enterprise Bank)
.as an Assistance General Manager (AGM) and Head of Information Technology to go into Full time ministry.
.May 2011, we laid the foundation of the second phase of Chapel of Transfiguration, to take care of the growth in the numerical strength of
.April 2012, Chapel of Transfiguration commenced Television Outreach program called TRANSFIGURATION HOUR on TV Continental (TVC) 7am
.every Sunday morning.
.Over the years, the lord had increased us on every sides, spiritually, numerically and financially. Looking into the future with the eyes of faith,
.we see Chapel of Transfiguration becoming a household name, not only in Nigeria but, all over the world. We see a church where people of different colors and languages will come and worship God in spirit and in Truth. We see a church that will raise people of power that will influence nations and government.
.In 2007, we came into Ikorodu unnoticed but today we are a people that cannot be ignored. Today, our eye is shifted to the world- from
.Ikorodu, the world will be reached by God’s grace.
